Siding, fascia and soffit

Will and Wishe installed the siding on the gable ends the day before the first snowfall. What timing!

North-West side of the house.

Then Quality Aluminum swooped in and installed the fascia and soffit.

We were amazed by their efficiency & speed. They set up all their ladders in the morning. They were done, packed-up and drove out the driveway by 2:00pm.

The house is finally unveiled! No more tarps or scaffolding.

The exterior is completed... for now! In the summer, once the house is settled, we will repair the cracks and paint the stucco. We still don't know what color to choose. Should we go for dramatic green or subdued mocha?

Attic Insulation

We're finally updating our blog... several months late... after holidays and a birthday-filled January.

As soon as the stucco was completed in mid-November, we rushed to close-in the house.

Once the vapor barrier was sealed and the ceiling was prepped, we began insulating the attic.

Wishe loaded cellulose into the blower while Will was blowing it into the attic.

We installed about 15 inches of cellulose in the attic to create an R-value of approximately R50.

After the radiant heating was turned on downstairs, the house warmed-up quickly. All our hard work was worth the effort!!
